Description

Last summer’s Climate Leadership Plan set a goal to ensure all new British Columbia buildings will be net zero within 15 years—and introduced the BC Energy Step Code as the policy path to get us there. This engaging and entertaining one-hour webinar will “lift the lid” on the BC Energy Step Code and bring planners, building officials, and other local government managers up to speed on the nuts and bolts. Featuring tales from the trenches and a glimpse of what comes next!

What you’ll learn:

  • What is the BC Energy Step Code, and how will it work?

  • Why is it important? Who is on board?

  • How are local governments already preparing?

  • Where can I find resources and support?

This is a lunch-hour webinar, with an option for in-person attendance for interested local-governmnent staff in the Metro Vancouver area. Live event will be at BRIX Studio, Suite 102, 211 Columbia Street, Vancouver, BC V6A 2R5. (NOTE: If attending the live event, please plan on arriving before 11:45am to minimize disruption; lunch provided) Please specify which you will be joining by selecting the appropriate ticket type when registering. We are allocating ample time for Q&A.
